Dino Decking Provides Eco-Friendly Decking For ITV’s Love Your Garden

Wigan based Dino Decking supplied eco-friendly composite decking supplies to ITV’s Love Your Garden programme which enabled Alan Titchmarsh to create a dream garden for a terminally ill teenager. Belmont Packaging produced four sizes of transit packaging and a printed postal box for samples.

The company’s 2 decking lines are Classic and Premium. They have 7 colours each but their warranty is short compared to the best of their competitors.

Recycled Plastics

Some eco-friendly decking boards are made of a composite mix of recycled wood and plastic, with colour additives and bonding agents. This creates a stronger, denser material with less environmental impact than timber decking.

Composites are a great choice because they can offer an alternative to traditional timber with a more durable finish that requires less maintenance. Some manufacturers use a combination of reclaimed wood and recycled high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic, which reduces the demand for virgin materials and helps to reduce waste from landfills.

Many of our eco-friendly composites come with a 10-year warranty, which is nearly double the lifespan of a standard wood deck and five times longer than an average timber deck. Dino Decking uses a composite of 55% recycled wood, 40% recycled HDPE and 5% additives to create its eco-friendly boards. They are reversible with a wood grain on one side and a grooved texture on the other, giving them anti-slip resistance. The company offers a 10-year warranty on its decking.

Metal

Dino Decking is a composite product that uses wood and plastic to create weather resistant, low maintenance decking. Its durability and resistance to wear are superior to traditional wood decking. The combination of recycled wood and plastic also reduces landfill waste. It is made from 55 percent wood, 40 percent high-density polyethylene, and 5 percent additives.

The Classic line of decking is reversible with a cathedral wood grain pattern and the Premium line has a fluted side that increases traction in wet weather. Both products are secured with hidden fasteners and can be cut with standard carpentry tools. The company offers a 10-year limited warranty against splitting, splintering, rot or structural damage from termites or fungal decay. However, this is quite short compared to most composite decking brands with 25-year warranties.

The company approached Belmont Packaging to produce transit packaging and postal boxes for its decking samples. They needed four different sizes of transit cases to ship their product to customers and a high-quality printed postal box for its decking samples. Belmont Packaging produced a range of corrugated cardboard packaging solutions for the client’s specific needs.

Composites

Composite decking is easy to clean and low maintenance, requiring none of the regular staining and sealing that wood requires. Dino has 2 composite decking lines, Classic and Premium, with a colour offering of 7 different hues across both. Their Premium boards are capped, which they claim is the thickest polymer sleeve in the UK, which helps with longevity and stain resistance.
